Frequently

Asked

Questions

Can you give me a general estimate on pricing?

There are 5 elements that determine the scope and price for any given project:

  1. Number of storytellers (film/podcast subjects)
  2. Number of locations
  3. Number of recording days
  4. The nature and amount of editing required
  5. The condition and animation of photos and videos

The combination of these factors determines the project plan, work scope, and price. We adjust these elements to fit your vision and budget.

Some simple, gift-giving projects start at 25K. Many projects range between 95K and 275K. We provide custom quotes for each project based after speaking with participants and stakeholders.

Where are you based?

Our company was founded in New York City. Our team lives across the U.S., Europe and Asia. We build production teams based on the specific needs of a project, including location, availability, client chemistry, and production skills.

Can I see samples of your work?

Absolutely. You can view several movie trailers on the Films page. After speaking with you, we are happy to share a password-protected portfolio page of some of our full-length films and podcast episodes. Much of our work is not available for review, as we maintain strict client privacy. You can read several Case Studies to learn more about our impact here.

How many clients have you worked with so far?

Since our founding in 2010, we have worked with over 100 families and enterprises. You can read testimonials from past clients as well as advisors familiar with our work on this page.

How do clients determine if they should make a film or a podcast?

Films are ideal for visual, legacy storytelling. Podcasts are ideal for on-going communication. Both help families connect across generations but the processes are different and the client goals tend to be somewhat different. We discuss these topics in-depth with a client to determine the best fit.

How do people usually find out about your company?

We are a preferred service provider listed internally for UHNW clients at several private banks, fiducial firms and multi-family offices. Our founder regularly speaks at conferences and publishes on the topics of family legacy, togetherness and communication. Our past clients also share their experiences with their network.

How do you determine the amount of recording time required?

We speak with you about what you want to capture (the number and nature of the stories, storytellers, and photos and videos) and what you ultimately want to create and pass on. This helps us design an appropriate scope.

How do you ensure the security of your media, especially the podcasts?

We work with trusted, third-party tech partners that have built secure media platforms for some of the most demanding corporate clients on the planet. Their technology provides encryption in transit and at rest, integrates with your SSO login, and segments content based on user access.

Do you give clients a list of questions in advance of an interview?

Generally, no, because we conduct pre-interviews during which we address the central topics that will be discussed during the actual interview. We find that a careful balance of preparation and spontaneity leads people to share stories with ease and authenticity.

Who is your typical client?

Our clients tend to be multi-generational families and family-owned enterprises with substantial wealth who have a pressing need to pass on their values, stay connected and engage rising gen.

Do you only work for families, or do you also work for firms and other businesses?

We do work directly for businesses, MFOs and SFOs, non-profits and others who want to use video and podcasting to reach their clients and communities.
